Why Choose an Electric Grill?
Many people argue about the merits of gas grilling versus charcoal grilling. One very good option, that many people don't even know about is that of the electric grill. Electric grills typically run off of a normal 120v electrical outlet eliminating the prep time associated with charcoal, the ventilation worries and running out of gas associated with gas grills. Electric grills are also ideal for those without a lot of space. Some models are available that will fit easily on patios or balcony’s, or even indoors.

Some of the earlier electric grills came with complaints of the lack of the ability to sear. Newer quality grills have solved this problem by including searing elements which reach upwards of 650 degrees Fahrenheit making this an issue of the past. Cooking with a quality electric grill can give the exact same results as cooking with a quality gas grill.

Electric grills one up their competition by cooking evenly without the hot spots that tend to plague charcoal grills, and some gas grills. This is also a bonus when searing, allowing even heat to be applied leading to a more perfect sear for locking in those juices.

Maintaining heat, especially low temperatures, is another area in which these grills excel. Gas and charcoal grills are notorious for being difficult to keep a constant temperature with electric grills this is done effortlessly.

The aesthetics and utility of today's electric grills are on par with their gas and charcoal counterparts. Grilling tool holders, convenient wheels for transport, and even warming racks for perfect vegetables and buns. Another advantage of these grills over similarly sized gas or charcoal grills is easy cleanup. There are no messy ashes to clean, and no rusting gas tank to haul back and forth to have refilled.
